It took me way longer than expected and I still need several plastic pieces but it is done enough to drive it now. It was an all red interior that was well worn and abused. Replaced the insulation, carpet, seats were recovered, door panels repaired and dyed, shortened the shifter, repainted the console and radio surround, completely replaced all the stereo components with a nice Pioneer double din, new speakers, integrated bluetooth, rear camera, took the rear storage compatments out and put in a 10" sub with a 600 watt amp and recently put a new headliner in the factory top and took the glass top off as it is getting too hot here already. It looks good and I did everything myself so it wasnt real expensive.
Cut 2" off the shifter with a tubing cutter, 2' off the shifter button rod that sticks up out of the shifter with side cutters, put the little groove for the c clip back in there with the tubing cutter and put the two notches in the side of the shifter with a dremel tool. Covered all my interior with a sheet, which I am glad I did as it burnt the sheet some.
The seat covers I bought off Ebay, I was able to pick my colors, perforation, stitching colors and you can go 2 tone if you want to as well. I bought the rings and ring pliars also and would not recommend you try and do it without the pliars. I also added 1/2' of foam to all the seats. Got the foam at Joanne Fabric and used 3M spray glue to put the foam on.
I have the same covers on mine. Other then being a little loose, they are great! For $199 they are very nice!
Ive had mine for 2 years now and they look better now, then they did when I installed them. I set the car in the sun for a few days and they tightened up alot. Here is when I installed them two years ago.
