87 Climate Control
Hi all,
I have a 87 with climate control (the LCD one) that isn't working right - sometimes it takes forever for the LCD to come on, sometimes the LCD does the "figure 8" thing where the LCD rotates. In any event I hate it. I did some searches on it and have found a number of people who have cleaned the contacts and the unit went back to normal. When I get the time I am going to give that a shot.
But my real Q is this - can I swap this unit out for the manual control (the one with the sliders)?

Thanks for the help - I found an online service that will repair the climate control. $275 - http://corvettesalvage.com/index.php...x&cPath=65_217 - anybody know another place a little more affordable?
