Default Driving a manual gets OLD QUICK!

Man am I getting tired of driving a manual.
Stop and go traffic sucks with it.
Sometimes I miss my auto tranny, but then going around a 35mph cure at 70+ in 4th gear really is fun.

I'm not complaining, my right knee is. :)

No Im just complaining about Northern Va Traffic. IT SUCKS, and I hate it!
But I also hate tax increases, so MR. Warners Tax Increase Refurendum is getting the big nay from me.

Personally I think they can get the roads in better order, by hmmmm STOP ZONING FOR NEW HOUSES! I'm tired of people moving here...!

Manuals, blah.

I'm backwards, my daily is a manual, my Vette is an auto. I wish they were both autos. Manuals were cool right up to about 1953.

What part of VA do you live in? I'm moving to the DC area, and I am interested in knowing how bad the traffic is there. I wonder if it could be worse than here in Honolulu.

I've been driving a manual trans for almost 20 years, I drive one to work and I drive one at work. Doesn't phase me a bit.
Clutch control is a very important thing, you can roll along inidle with your foot off the clutch at 7 mph in 1st gear and tap teh brakes a little to slow you down.

Just leave some room between you and the car in front and you'll be fine.

How can you say that? I have an auto and find myself craving a manual at times.

Grass is always greener, I guess... ;)

Marty, Marty, Marty, what are we going to do with you, boy?

1. Corvettes are supposed to have manual transmissions (despite the seemingly valid rationalizations from the automatic transmissioned among us).

2. Driving in traffic with a manual transmission is not difficult or tiring (especially for an 18 year old). And complaining about said driving is a cop out for those unwilling to admit publically that they long for the non-driving experience that is the automatic transmission.

3. If you disagree with #2 then you need to be fitted with a nice Ford Taurus with an automatic transmission (and a season pass to the bingo hall).

:D

Manual people like to think that, but it isn't true.
Corvette first came into life with a 2 speed auto.

Kinda like that bloke who thinks they are all red... the correct color is "White."

And what the hell is chevy doing putting a v8 in there?
