Just installed KYB shocks on all four corners. I had a tremendous amount of help from forum member Elrick, so for the 3rd time "Thanks Eric"!!! The corvette forum comes through again, without his help it would have taken me 4-5 hours. I believe the shocks we took out were the original factory shocks (car only has 37K miles so it is quite possible). What a difference! Before every bump felt like I was running over a brick. Now it's nice and smooth, well I mean nice and smooth for a C4. I was worried when we finished because the car was sitting really high, but it settled right down by the time I got home. I had my daughter with me so I couldn't really get into it, but maybe Saturday.
Nice work dude. This kyb's will be my next project this summer.
Thanks. Maybe someone can chime in here for a tip on how to easily get the top bolt off the front shocks. I ended up cutting them off with a Sawsall. Everything else was pretty straight forward. One more question about the shocks. The box says "Gas-A-Just". Does this mean they are adjustable in some way?
