Bose receiver question
I have a 1996 and I need to know if the Bose stereo receiver, which is located behind the passenger seat in the storage compartment, is used for anything more than to power the antenna and the speakers? Does it have anything to do with the PKE or anything else? Thanks

Does not operate the PKE system. It is the actual radio. The headunit is just a control panel basically. You can actually turn on a radio station, remove the headunit and music will still be playing out of the speakers.

Thanks, I just sold it and wanted to make sure I didn't need it for anything but the stereo. I have an aftermarket system now.
