After almost 9 years with my 96 LT4 I decided it was time to change. I'll miss that car and will prob add another vette to the stable later on. I'd like to have a 91 ZO7 or another 90 Z51 at some point. I'll still hang out here on CF and C4 specific areas quite a bit too.
Best of luck with the Camaro. I was driving my C4 yesterday and a new black Camaro SS passed by. Very nice. You'll have to tell us more about its driving experiences.
Hopefully, it will provide many years of happy motoring memories just like your C4.

FWIW, I replaced it with a 2011 Camaro SS M6.
Had an SS in my rear view mirror yesterday, sharp looking front end.
I was hoping they would pass me so I could get a better look, but they didn't.
I have to agree that GM, as usual(in most cases) went way overboard on the Camaro. Looks bloated and overweight with handling that echoes that of the '69 read awful. Good straight line acceleration but plows like a truck in the corners. I would like to find out I'm wrong. Other than the Corvette, GM still has a long way to go. Give me the Boss 302 or Mach 1 for my money. I know, I know, it still has a solid axle but still finds a way to outshine the Camaro in almost all ways.
Anyway, please let us know your thoughts on the new car as I would like to learn more so I can be wrong about my initial impressions.

Can't go wrong with an F-body. She is fast and has 4 seats, Brembo brakes, IRS, etc. Nice car. I would buy one to replace my 208,000 mile 1993 Trans Am but the wife is not digging the idea.
No worries guys, I still have alot of love for the vettes and C4s in particular. At some point I'm going to get another C4. I just got to where I didnt drive the one I had. I also got tired of driving the automotive equivilant of an appliance to work (02 s10 blazer 4 door 4wd). One thing I noticed immediatley on driving the SS was that it hides it weight well, very well. I have not pushed it in an autox or at the dragon (www.dealsgap.com) yet but my initial impression is that it drives and handles much lighter than its weight. It almost feels nimble. I'll do a detailed writeup on impressions after I get a few hundred miles on it.
FWIW, I still have 6 years of GM service manuals for C4s. All of them complete and ready for use. I do not plan to sell them as I'll do a little bit of side work on C4s at my house. I'm not going away all together
Enjoy the new ride! I was just looking at the new Hot Rod magazine and in the back, they had the usual new accessories and one of them was the new Hurst Shifter for 10' and up Camaro's. The pistol grip is engraved with the Hurst logo and the bottom plate is definitely very cool! I like the new 'maro's too.
