Hello I have another question.My 87vette automatic is showing code 34 what is that code meaning? and how is it fixed? thanks

Code 34 = Mas Air Flow or (MAF) sensor circuit.

Possible solutions......
Inspect the intake system for air and vacuum leaks. clean the throttle body. Check the MAF sensor connections. Replace the MAF relay. Replace the ECM. ** the ECM is a last ditch effort....you have want to have the car looked at by a professional before replacing the ECM.

I have a 93, and the code 34 for that year means EGR valve fault. The Shop manual gives a long procedure for troubleshooting, But I tried the vacuum test first and found that my EGR would not hold vacuum. Solution- replace EGR valve.

No idea if 87 and 93 had same fault codes. This is just a datapoint.

Code 34 as listed above is for the 85 thru 90 model.

1991 through 1993 code 34 is Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor circuit (signal voltage low).

According to my 85 FSM the problem is either a grounded circuit (998) a bad ECM or a bad MAF. Suspect you have to follow an 86 manual to pinpoint due to the differences in burn off.
