I personally like the 90-93 style over the 94-96 for its better functionality. It has a more of a set for 10 and 2. I like to drive 9 and 3 and I like the feel of the earlier wheel better. I feel the latter style is ugly and fat looking.

With just a thumb and one finger on my left hand and my right hand for the controls and shifter, my steering wheel is bulky and actually causes my hand to cramp. But it goes with the car.
