This is listed as a ZR1 clone. I am a little baffled as to why they can make the leap. I just dont think black ZR1 rims makes the plain 94 coupe a clone.

Probably the LT5, the perfect Blue & White color scheme with the GS stripes on the front fender and the rear fender flares.

Not to mention the wider doors and rear end.

Oh wait....

Lot of work went into that "clone"

At least the front bumper has been repainted, the section between the corner lights and the fogs is body color.

These MORONS at these used car lots do not know what they are selling most of the time....its embarrassing...The boss tells them to advertise it as a ZR1 clone or kit because he's heard thats a big deal with corvettes. They think its a performance kit like the Z51...too stupid to understand that its a different car !

Someone needs to go in there and ask them if they know what the local laws are for FRAUD...or misrepresenting an item for sale...
nuthin worse than a chicken S*** used car saleman.

I'm a bit confused too. I was expecting at least the emblem on the rear bumper.

While I agree that the used car salesman is an idiot for saying its a ZR1 clone, most people that aren't interested in Corvettes or cars would probably not notice the difference between a ZR1 and a base C4 of that year.

Years ago my wifes cousin's boyfriend bought a 91 Vette with ZR1 badges on it. (He came from Mustangs) Should have seen his face when I saw the car and informed him it was not a Z...

Yep and somebody will probly swallow that line of crap hook, line and sinker. Wasnt it PT Barnum that said "Theres a sucker born every minute"? or something to that effect.

If they do know the difference between a ZR1 and "regular" C4's then it would be fraud if they advertised the car as a ZR-1. But the car was advertised as a "clone" so it's not a factory-built ZR-1. Outside of the obvious details like the engine, the VIN will clearly determine if it's a ZR-1 or not.

If they really don't know, then the buyer and seller both are idiots.

Actually, it is pretty close. It has the same rear glass, carpet, same targa, even the dash and radio console is close to a ZR1 (It's just missing that fun little power Key and a couple badges). Come on guys just because he is missing a few exterior badges and uuummm the LT5, doesn't make it a good clone.

BTW have you seen My 2001 Z06 Clone in my profile pic?

How can it be a ZR1 without the awesome ZR1 motor? Gotta love those 'C'mon down to Honest Bob's Auto Empire' type of sales people. Jeeez
