Nobody is accusing you of being bad with money. I just remember that when I was 19, I wanted to have certain freedoms and have fun. You can NEVER get this time of your life back! Why not buy a more affordable Corvette that you won't have to finance so long? So that you can have the freedom to experience life before you are strapped down with mortages, car notes, marriage, children, retirement funds, etc.
I just hate to see a guy just starting out in his adult life in debt to a bank for 5 years. Have you figured out how much you will be paying for that Corvette at the end of the loan? And how much it will be worth?
There are plenty of '87-'90 C4s around that are much more affordable, just as much fun, and who knows, next time around you might be buying a C6!!
Just a thought here: Are any of your "investments" yielding returns that match or beat the interest the bank is going to charge you for that 60 month Corvette loan? Probably not
more affordable would be great but there is not enough nice 6 spds out there to be to picky, and i live in MN where everyone expects nothing but top dollar when they are selling them, people try to get 13k -16k for mid mile 86 - 88's plus its the begining of summer. I'm also getting a decent deal to.
