Default Sold my 92 Vette , Bought my 04 CTSV. A couple of pics of them both.

I sold the 92 corvette and bought my 04 CTSV last night.

It was a one owner 34k miles 04.... very very impressive car.

Here are a couple of pics of the 2 cars together before the 92 goes to the new owner this afternoon.

Enjoy!

Very nice! That is my next car, now that I have a kid (2 years old in July) and probably will have #2 soon I will need a bigger daily driver. Don't get me wrong I am keeping my Vette too . Let us know how it drives/handles.

My friends father has one of those, he lets my friend take it out every once in a while....VERY impressive car. Extremely comfortable, power is so smooth.

Open the hood and all you see is plastic covers on everything though. I don't like that.

Just don't like the looks of newer cars. I would have said the same if he bought a Camaro. Look at the front and side comparison pics, not a tough decision. haha GM could melt one caddy tail-light and make 8 corvette tail-lights, look at that sleek vette parked next to that shoebox. Sorry performance wise might be a upgrade but looks wise a failure.

No offense to the O/P the vette wasn't for you anymore and practicality stepped in so I can relate.

Well, I hope you are happy with the new ride. At least it's a GM, not something Korean. But looking at the two of them, I know which one I would take, no contest.

I don't mind the different opinions. To each their own.

All I can tell you is for me, letting the corvette sit in the garage 99.9% of the time and never driving it was a waste. I have owned it since 05, its a great car but its now time to pass the torch to the next person.

The Cadillac sits at over 100hp stock for stock vs the dated LT gen II platform. Not to mention being its a LS based motor, power comes in leaps and bounds once you start throwing mods at it.

Oh Did I mention it weights 3850 lbs (yes heavier then the C4s) which is the exact weight of a 2010 Camaro SS.

I will always have a spot in my heart for vettes, but for now until the kids are grown up and gone something with a back seat is needed.

I love your new car, but why sell / trade in the c4.

I can't imagine you got much for it as all c4 prices are in the dump.

Even if you did, they prob let the ctsv go for a higher price than they would have dealt it to you at without any tradein

I have driven the CTS and the CTSv has to be more fun drive. I think you made a good choice and practical one with the family in mind. As others have said at least it's still GM. Congrats on the purchase...

Great car, nice buy!

Here's you just last week.

Here is my average LT1 (not a LT4) wiping the floor with a average LS1 with a average driver.

Just saying
