I have both vettes and an economy car. not sure what those ******* who wrote that article can tell me about that.
funny thing I heard at a car show that some girl said to her BF about my 91 ZR-1 being something like some kind of p-extension to attract females, and I stated that that may be true for a lot of cars, but I actually bought my 91 for my own personal gratification and to impress 60 year old dudes who know what the car is.
Well, when I was 19 I had a '67 BB (it was about 2 years old at the time and "flashy" would certainly describe it. The article says "interested in short-term sexual relationships with women." Is there something to dispute there?
My better half is a wonderful woman but she takes a VERY dim view of my having any such relationships these days. Not sure if my C-4 is "flashy" but I enjoy it for its looks, handling, performance, and the fun of throwing money and skinned knuckles at it. So the British writers can factor all that in and analyze me, and I couldn't care less what they come up with!
This article is some of the most sexist crap I've seen in a long while. It's nothing but stereotypes and generalizations and written in a way that I've seen better done by high schoolers.
I drive a C4 Vert, XKR Vert, 7-Series and I'm 24. My hobbies include cars, fashion and cosmetics. I do what I want regardless of whether it is considered stereotypical or atypical and it has always worked out for me. I guess I can't date an uptight Texas Professor, who I'm guessing is like the headmaster at the camp in "But I'm a Cheerleader" anyway and has a 1950s notion of gender roles and expectations.
Kind of begs the question, if a young woman is driving a flashy sports car like a Corvette is she just looking for a date, and not morriage? Now, that would have been worth knowing when I was young, too.
Here's another question. If a guy is driving a mini-van will that attract women that want to marry? What about a bus? Is that a polygamist's calling card/chick magnet?
Does this one attract tiny people who just want to date?
and this one, wee people who are looking for marriage?

Clearly .... this proves is what we all know ..... Corvettes make Johnson's larger in the perception of stupid women?
