Our township road crew puts down cinders everytime it snows. The entire road in our subdivision is covered with these abrasive pellets until July or so. I'm not crazy about the way they look, but I hate having a quarter panel full of rock chips.
Hey
I also got the Altec's and had them painted to match (silver). Looked great to me but I took the rears off after I added the fender flares and the 335's.
The combo off splash guards and fender flares looked bad to me. Kept the fronts, I think the give a very finished look espec. if painted to match, they look like factory.
Still have the rears painted Silver, in a box though

I really don't care for mud flaps on a corvette, so here is my fix
Use a few "Cleartastic" strips on the rear quarter panels of the car (and any other likely place for stone damage). That's what I'll be doing when I get my 315's in the rear. :yesnod:
