Never heard of this product before - thanks for bringing it up.
I wonder if the whole car could be covered with this stuff - would it be cheaper than a paint job? Would it last? Could the seams be hidden? Just thinking out loud...
The only seem would be on the hood. Every other panel can be covered with a solid piece. They come in 48" wide, by however long you want. My roof and halo took a 48x72 piece and I had lots of left overs. I've got plans on covering my whole car. Will be doing it in sections to make it more affordable.
3M DI-NOC looks good but, is easiest to install on large flat panels.
I tried to install the 3M DI-NOC on the side mirrors and found it very difficult because of the compound curves. If you stretch or heat the material too, much you will distort and/or melt the pattern and ruin the piece.
I covered the chrome cover plate in the shower with the DI-NOC just to see how it can stand up to water and so, far it's held up fine for the last 2 years.
We carry and install 3M scotchprint 1080 which is rated for outdoor use. Di noc is for interior and can pull paint. The 1080 carbon is a wrap vinyl that is made to stretch and has air release. It comes in a 60 inch width so you don't have seams for the hood.

That's good information too, know.
I just found that the 1080 Scotchprint has a 3 year outdoor life expectency and the 3M DI-NOC has a 4 year outdoor and 12 year indoor life expectancy. Also, the 3M DI-NOC should be considered a permanent application (can be removed but, damage may occur to the substrate) so, it would seem the 1080 Scotchprint would be the better choice for a vehicle wrap.
