Jakers- I am very careful with it lol. I know my limitations and I don't plan to exceed them.
F22- I am definitely keeping a little in the account. I am hoping it will be a fairly reliable ride, other than the normal wear and maintenance.
Hephaestus- Thank you! For the record, I don't do any drugs period lol. I will have a few drinks with the guys but im not one to go out and get trashed and then get behind the wheel. I appreciate the looking out though!
RRman- Thanks buddy! I am a newb to corvette forum but I have been on many others in the past when I used to race motocross and such. I will DEFINITELY be getting a service manual. Do you happen to know off the top of your head if Haynes or Chiltons makes a service manual as well?
I'm glad there is a really organized DIY section, that will definitely come in handy.
When I was slightly younger than you, I was driving a 1961 with a 365 horse 327. Don't even begin to think about doing some of the dumb *** things I did. I was young, had good reflexes, there was a hell of a lot less traffic and nothing bad ever happened, but that excuses NOTHING .
Stay safe; enjoy yourself and enjoy your new car.
Thanks for the kind words and advice!
j-vette- Haha! I know it is spotless under the hood. They had to have pressure washed it before I arrived to look at it, which kind of scares me a little because I know the optispark system does not like moisture.

Well chances are high that you are correct and the vehicle did see a pressure washer however I see braided lines and usually people that don't care about their car won't go through that trouble or expense so it was most likely someones baby... Either way, it looks really nice!
Well thank you sir! It was a 3 owner car, 2 of which were brothers. And I guess the owners of the small car dealership I bought it from personally knew the 3rd and last owner.
I believe the folks who sell the FSM are Helms but don't have time to look it up at the moment - got to go back out and lay on my back under my Vette some more! They go for just above $100 brand new, sometimes you can find a decent used set on flea-bay - or maybe even someone on here has a set. If you don't get more info by later this afternoon I'll dig further for you, once mine is back together.
Regarding the Haynes and Chiltons. Those are cheap paperback novels. The FSM is a big red, hunking two-volume set and provides 2K the info of the Haynes! I found my set on ebay.

I have a 96; I pressure washed mine without any issues...what killed my 145,000 mile opti spark was not water per se, it was the "vacumn vent harness" which failed and once it failed the vent system no longer worked rendering it worse than a non vented (early) opti spark. This harness is nothing more than several lengths of rubber vacumn hose and if you're ever in the front end of your engine, inspect it carefully; it's cheap and easy to repair.
Beautiful '94..glad to see you join the club!!..
I have a similar issue with the right front headlight in my '94
clicking as you described..what kind of nightmare was it to replace
the headlight bushings, where did you get the new ones, and
how long of a procedure..I noted you had the whole assembly on the bench. do you have to do that to replace them? ..
Best of Luck with that beautiful torch..! nice car..is the ashtray cover
broken? the damn spring is on a bayonnet mount that is pretty flimsy..
I just bought a whole new console cover, put the engine spec plaque over it..and leave it alone!!...you may be able to repair it with some epoxy, but others have found that it just fails after a few short usages..interior looks real nice and very clean!! Best, Derek
Doc- Thank you very much! It wasn't bad at all, very very easy and straight forward. Just take your time on the first headlight, and the second one will go by in a breeze. I believe it took me 3 hours from start to finish. However, I spent about 45 minutes searching for a 10mm nut I lost while reinstalling the driver side headlight.
I ordered the replacement bushings from eckler's corvette, just because they are fairly close to me. They are a very reputable company. Here is a link to the bushings for the C4's.
If you want to do both lights you need to get two sets. Each headlight takes 3 bushings. There is a nice write up on here I believe, but I ended up using this one, and the instructions that came with the Ecklers repair set.
I found the passenger side motor to be a little different than the driverside. No big deal.
As for the ashtray/cup holder. I don't think it is broken, it is kind of wobbely. I usually just leave it open so I can use the cigarette lighter for my phone charger.
Anyways, I hope this was of some help to you!
Cruzn- Thank you very much, I definitely intend to!
