Hey everyone! This appears to be a great forum with gobs of information.
Anyway, I am from Crystal River, FL and am 21 (almost 22). I'm a junior in college and majoring in business administration. For a while now I have been saving up for a Vette and I found this car on Autotrader in Stone Mountain, Georgia (7 Hours away). So I sold my pickup and decided to drive up and purchase it. My father used to own several Vettes in the past, a 67', 78' (Silver Anniversary), 86' coupe, and a 91' ZR1. My brother has owned a few as well, including a CTS-V. So it is basically a rite of passage in my family to buy a Vette.
When I drove up to buy it, I noticed the headlights made a clicking noise for about 5 seconds after you turned on or off the head lights. As soon as I returned home with the car I joined up on this forum and did a little searching (I know the importance of the "search feature" from other forums lol). I quickly found the issue and ordered the replacement bushings from Eckler's. Replaced all the bushings and they operate very smoothly now with no abnormal noises. So thanks to all for that. And I am looking forward to learning a lot from this place.
Anyway, it is a 1994 Torch Red Coupe with the 6 speed. Came with the Dual Roof option. Has 92,000 on the odometer, and other than the headlights needing fixed it is a very solid and fun car to drive.
nice and clean!!low miles too? cant beat that. Congrats on purchasing a lifetime of memories. I love this forum too, wish these things were around when I had my first Vette!!

Thank you very much! These forums are very useful. I just hope I don't catch the mod bug like I have with previous vehicles. I want to try and keep this guy as close to original as possible. I do plan on doing a little exhaust work, 2001-2005 Z06 wheels, and some tint.
Congratulations on what looks to be a nice ride. Enjoy it and listen to your dad when he offers his advice. A C4 is a blast but can get you into trouble before you know what's happpening. Learn the car and what it can do, (and that won't happen in a day). Oh, and remember to wave!
Don't screw up and get into a string of speeding tickets, don't wreck it, and don't drink/do drugs and drive. Not saying you would, but if decide in advance not to do those things, you'll be better off in the long run.
Wow! A n00b who knows how to use the "search" feature, knows enough to post pics for us, and has a sweet ride besides! Welcome! Now as long as you have a thick skin for the times someone gives you a dig or two, you'll fit in here just fine!
If you don't have one already, get a FSM (Factory Service Manual) for your year, red cover edition. Sounds like you do your own work and while it will set you back a few bucks it will pay for itself the first time you tackle a job yourself instead of taking the car to a dealer or garage.
(Question for those in the know - I've heard it called "FACTORY Service Manual", and "FIELD Service Manual". Which is correct? Mine just says "Service Manual" but it's always referred to as an FSM, not a SM.)
When I was slightly younger than you, I was driving a 1961 with a 365 horse 327. Don't even begin to think about doing some of the dumb *** things I did. I was young, had good reflexes, there was a hell of a lot less traffic and nothing bad ever happened, but that excuses NOTHING .
