C4 fever? No such thing! Said the guy with a 92 LT1 coupe, 90 ZR-1, 89 Convert., 88 coupe and an 86 Z51. One day my Great grandson can flip a C4 for a profit. In this market the only way to "flip" a C4 for profit is if its over-insured when you flip.
So you say you now have (5) FIVE C4's? Do you have any pictures of them all parked together?
I'm on my 2nd C4 and if I decide to get another Vette, It will be a C4 vert. I've drove other Vettes, but the C4 was the generation that made me buy a Vette.

I have had numerous offers on it and can make 6K off of it. Bought it real cheap put some hard work in it and can make good money off it but like I said earlier I drive this and either want to keep it or get a 6 speed version of my auto....
More people seem to like the looks of a C4 over a C5 or C6. I like the long hood (phallic symbol) and the way I sit "IN" the car. When I drive a later model I feel as though I'm sitting "ON" the car. Somewhere between the go cart handling and the kickass looks, I wouldn't trade for a later model.
My old black Vert is like a prom queen that puts out.

The 86 is on a lift in my shop. But I could group the other 4 and take a picture. Or I could scan the California Certificates of Ownership. I could do that with my 3 C3s and the 1 C5 I have. I didn't think I was bragging, I thought I was making an embarrassing admission.

There are to many people to respond to so if I miss someone I apologize now... the C4 is like a drug. the more I drive it the more I want to keep it... I've driven many of cars.... I can take the money and get more speed out of my diesel...... sorry to make a post just to get some reaction.... maybe I'll get another C4 in the near future... thanks to all for the help.... your welcome to all the people I've helped.... If any peeeps need a mechanic in south east Mass, or need help on their C4 feel free to contact me here... I will check in every day... later Quig

OK then.......now you say you have a total of 8 Corvettes. A wide angle shot of them all will be fine.

I know Im a little late to the party but I still wanted to add my two cents. For me, I LOVE the looks of the car more so than just about any other car out there. I love the no nonsense doorstop wedge design with the very low rake windshield and the long hood and wide butt. The sound mine makes second to none. I swear i get wood every time i start it up. they way the cockpit wraps around you makes you feel like you are in a fighter jet.
I love how low to the ground you sit and like others have mentioned before, the go kart handling. The ZF 6 speed feels like no other transmission out there and I will take it over a T56 any day of the week and twice on sunday. for me it adds a lot of character to the car. I love my box of rocks.
Its not always about looks for everyone though. Most people that see my car simply say it looks "nice". But for the lucky few that I have let drive it. I kid you not when I say that the next day, every single one of them are looking through classifieds to find one for themselves!

Give it a rest. I would worry about what you thought, if you could count. I have 9 Corvettes. 5 are C4s, my embarrassment is because I like the C4 enough I haven't sold any. You are more than welcome to come by to see and talk Corvette anytime (especially C4). Maybe you have a firefighter friend in the area with a camera. This thread was about the C4 and why people get attached to them. I think I qualify.

Sorry, I can't believe I missed that 9th one. Do you own a rather large building in Bowling Green Kentucky? No reason to get upset. Just having a little fun with you, that's all. It's great you have so many Vettes. It shows how much you must really like them!
Mistake number one. Dont buy a C4 to make money on. They have the worst resale valve of any other Corvette. Great cars but no market. Unless it says GS or ZR1 on it to most its just another car.
Definitely sell it and consider a 6 speed car. Be aware that maybe 25% of the cars were 6 speeds so it will be harder to find a good one (or a deal that needs work).
I bought my first one on a whim because the price was pretty low, but man, it was so much fun to drive to work- I kept it for a year.
I owned a 73 Vette and my 87 is light years ahead of it.
It is so much fun to drive, my 87. I love it, when I am not waiting on parts, sigh.
But like many others, I cant put a finger on why I love mine so much, but probably the way it drives and how you feel a part of the car, like you wear it, not get into it and drive.
