I decided I didn't want red calipers any longer, too common. Since I really like the blue calipers on the new ZR-1 I went to work,,,,,,,,,

They do look different and you did a great DIY paint job on the calipers.

The people that paint brush them are ghetto; PERIOD!

I sprayed mine in red first, then went to yellow a couple weeks later.

Post pics of the car to show how it compliments it.

Thanks, it's not paint, both the red and the blue are powdercoating and I did do them myself.

Nive job Midnight. Powder coating is definitely the way to go with this high heat application. My car is red so I am gonna stick with them. I was wondering, did you have to disassemble the caliper before you baked them?

You can do your own powder with no problem but you will need an old ELECTRIC oven, the powder will ruin a good oven and you wouldn't want the fumes in the house. I bought the Chicago Electric kit that you can find on ebay. Just like painting the success depends on the prep. Smooth surfaces will shine rough ones will not as you can see by looking at my calipers then the brackets. The brackets are also powdered. PM me if you want more detailed info.

I would imagine the high baking heat, (upwards of 400*) would ruin the seal so I just strip them out to be safe. Also I had to remove the red so that meant they had to be disassembled. I can certainly understand you sticking with red.

No, the shocks are Tokico's and that's the color they are from the factory.
