I have removed the old weatherstripping from the windshield and a-pillar area and have dry-fit the new seal. I am ready to apply adhesive.
The new weatherstripping did not come with the nylon push-pin retainers that secure the weatherstripping at the bottom and top of the a-pillars on each side. I called the vendor and they said it is not supposed to come with the seal and that screws are supposed to be used.
Correct I just cleaned mine and reused when I replace the A Pillar molding. The replacements do no come with them. A dab of 3M weatherstrip glue will keep em in place.
If didnt save your pins your local bodyshop should be able to help you out for a few plastic pins. GC
I also reused the original plastic clips. I didn't use any weatherstrip glue but everything seems secure. The weather strip didn't come with any instructions - is the glue necessary?

I also reused the OEM black plastic clips and did not use any weatherstrip adhesive. So far so good, but I did clean out all the old glue & weatherstripping from the channels w/plenty of 3M adhesive remover/cleaner.
