I wasn't going to comment on someone's idea of custom work but now that it's international I did get a big laugh out of it. From Panama:

the oem c4 fuel tank sits ON TOP of a welders nightmare fabricated aluminum shelf, covered by urethane that can be cut with a pocket knife, ez prey for the current detroit design fad of 'pedestrian friendly' (?) front bodywork on all 'new' designs (european idea ?)...my tank hides at least the lower half behind a structural steel tube, plus a 1/4'' lexan (rated bulletproof to small arms fire by many) over all.
re parachute: back/day (mid-1960's) we raced 'mid-year' vettes (road course, of course) and experienced serious 'tail dancing' at 120+ mph, 'delete' of the rear panel below the bumpers cured that...several years later we ran a 'rail' dragster, used a 10' crossform chute to brake from top speed down to ~10 mph (pilot chute began to wear on pavement at that speed), that crossform 10' is measured laying flat on the ground altho deployed it assumes almost a hemispherical shape, roughly double the size of what hangs below the c4 fuel tank.

bling added
rear armor is now a late model caddy aluminum box section...polished, of course...sticks out ~1.5'' at ends and 2.5'' at center.
and weighs ~10 lb LESS.

Redrose, I think many of the people here are not familiar with all of the different projects / research you have done with the c4. You don't post like you used to and many are new here and most don't even touch their car as it's thought to be sacrilegious to do major mods.
I think if they knew that you are not afraid to think outside the box for performance gains they would understand more.
The car looks unique now, but I assume you don't have the car setup like it is for looks only.
