Bought some stock chrome camaro wheels to put on my c4, but they sit too far behind the fender. How thick of an adapter do i need to make these look right?
What year do you have??? 84-87 are hard to find because of the offset. I think in 88 or 89 they changed the offset. There are easier to find. I don't like spacers of adapters but; that's just me. I have 1986 I should know...

Either go to the 'Bay and do a search ofr 1987 Corvette wheels or Google AFS wheels. They are 17" so you will have to purchase larger tires. They have several styles.
I put these wheels and new tires on the 87 I used to own (gunmetal color though). They fit great. When the next owner dinged one up he was able to contact AFS and buy a matching wheel.
Here is part of the description from their ad:
WHAT THEY WILL FIT: THESE WHEELS ARE CUSTOM MADE FOR THE 1984-1987 CORVETTE! These wheels are a direct bolt on. No spacers or adapters are needed! They also fit on the 1993-2003 TransAm or Firebird! (They will not fit the 93-97 TransAm or Firebird CONVERTIBLE). Please note that this is NOT the correct offset for the Camaro.
Here is the 87. Notice that the 315 tires fit nicely in the rear wheel well. No spacers needed either front or back.

nice car
So no other stock wheel will fit this year corvette correctly? I'm just looking for something i can buy cheap to get away from the ugly rough factory wheels that are on it.
