Anybody ever try the c4 coupe rear hatch drains that go under the weather strip, I washed my vet and found two pools of water setting in corners on both sides a week later. Hate to drill any holes but looks like a future problem area. Thanks

OK, lets try this again, now that I can read Yes there are members here who have installed these drains with success. IIRC it is not a big deal. If you don't want to drill, you have only one option left which is to dry it up yourself every time you wash it. I just use a really absorbent cloth or chamois, not really a big deal
I've been thinking about this to. Is it required to replace the weatherstripping when doing this? If so, then it'll have to wait for the Corvette fund to refill...
I keep two tightly rolled paper towels to stick in those corners after each washing. The "wick effect" draws out all the residue water by the time I'm done drying off the finish. I then hang the paper towel rolls to dry for the next time.
My shop vac has a leaf blower thingie on it and it works great for drying the Vette, and really great for drying the Harley. I bought it specifically for this purpose. I also use "The Absorber" towel. It rocks.

nice paint. where did you get the rear fender add on
Shop Vacs , paper towels, God, I've even heard of people using turkey basters to suck the water out. ..Come on guys, grow a pair and drill the holes , put in the tubes and be done with it.. You will be happier and never have to worry about water there again...

Well we had a US car meeting here the past weekend and I talked to a guy with a C4 that installed drains in the rear hatch. But he did it when his car was completely disassembled.
I don't know why they weren't designed in by default.

I installed them in mine and it was very easy and works great. It was a couple years ago, but I recall it only taking a few minute on each side. Just use some heavy masking tape to protect the paint on the fender and also the hatch seal.

How long are the tubes and where does the water come out?
