As someone who's been trying to sell their Z07 for a while now, this subject hits home!
In 1992 Chevy made 502 ZR-1's. They made 738 Vettes with the Z07 option. "Rare" can be a subjective term and people may not see that as rare. Personally, I do, but that's just my opinion.
But regardless of what you think of the rarity, the Z07 option essentially gives you a ZR-1 with a LT-1 motor. That adds value above our base Vette.
I have to say though, based on my experience over the last month, that it doesn't seem to matter to people. At this stage people are lumping all the C4's together and original, well cared for, optioned cars aren't bringing higher prices (and I'm not talking big bucks here...like a grand or less).
Looks like I'll be hanging onto my Z07 for a while....

Depends upon the market and who your prospective customer is. Unless you are trading a car in at a dealership or selling in a market that considers it to be just another used car I have never seen any of the popular value guides to be accurate for Corvettes. This is especially true in the case of excellent original condition and low miles or a low production option package.
