Years ago, I scanned my FSM into PDF.
I have a golf cart with a no crank situation, so I put that PDF manual onto my phone, so I could have the info at the golf course.
Got me thinking it would be a good idea to have the Vette's manual on there, too.

Had not thought about putting on my cell phone. I have my '88 FSM as a pdf on my laptop which I usually have with me. Amazing how much the laptop weighs with the FSM than the paper FSM would weigh by itself. I figure there is no telling when I might need it since I travel a good bit in the Vette. I am looking at getting one of the new Kindle Touch that will hold pdf's and wondered about putting the FSM on there but not sure that I can zoom enough to be able to read. Should be bigger than iPhone but not as good resolution. Anyone try anything like that?

Burning Brakes
My grandpa downloaded the documentation on all of the International tractors he works on. He now projects them on the wall in the shop. He doesn't even have to get out from under the tractor any more, he just looks over at the 15 foot image of it.
Great idea. It would definitely make it easier to transport on a computer. However, I still like reading hard copy with stuff like this. It's easier on the eyes and I can take it under the car with me without worrying about something getting broken. You can wipe oil off a page. It's not so easy getting it out of a laptop.
