Default door lock release button

what is the correct name for the lock button on the inside of the door, the one you slide to open and close the doors? I am missing one and want to replace it but cannot seem to find it?
On that same note, my car, when I bought it only came with a single set of keys. Did most of the C4 (1994) come with automatic locks and a remote? How would I know if mine did and I was only missing the remote?

All MY 93 and up C4 Corvettes came with (Passive Keyless Entry) PKE standard. With two sets of keys and two remotes when purchased new.

should just be called 'Inside Door Lock **** Manual Slide' or something similar. I would just look on zip corvette, mamotorworks, or this website:

http://www.corvettesouth.com/corvett...6da215d17ceadf

And yeah as far as i know. almost if not all corvette cames with automatic locks and a remote. The trouble is, after 15+ years people have lost them, etc.. Your's most likely had one as did mine when it was born but its been lost over the years. I usually keep up with ebay looking for a good deal on one but the lowest ive seen one is around $150.

No remotes until around 1993

No, the programing procedure is in the owners manual.

Note: Be sure and research the C4 PKE system before spending too much money.
This system is unlike any other remote lock/unlock system out there. The remotes will be unique to the C4 and are not cheap.

Your Cars owners manual has the programming sequence. Also the Red two volume Factory Service Manuals. I suggest looking into purchasing one or the other.

The remotes come up for sale in the WTB/For Sale section all the time. On this forum. Also a lot of threads on the programming of the Fobs can be found here also on the fourm using the "Search" function.

what link?

There is no such thing as a remote fob that will fit an 84-98

The C4 PKE system wasn't available until 1993 and ended with the 1996.

So, '84-'92 didn't have it. And '97-'98 are C5's and they are a different system.

You need to look for a specific FOB for the '93-'96 C4

this link for the manual door unlock button, it is only for the 84-89. I am having a tough time finding the correct one for the 1994
