Hey guys. New to Corvettes here. Ex-dirt racer. Looking at a 1990 convertible with 75k on it. Might seem a silly question... is there ANY storage in a convertible? The car looks pretty good but I haven't seen it in person. It is a 100 mile trip to look at it and has to wait until the weekend. Typical injector issues but otherwise seems solid.

Reason: unnecessary comment
Been there done that. Instead of traveling the 100 miles, why don't you have it inspected at a knowledgeable shop for a $100 or so? This is especially true if you don't know early C4 Corvettes, though you could educate yourself in a hurry on this forum. Secondly, that's a 200 mile round trip! You'll easily blow 5-6 hours of your Saturday doing this and not knowing the outcome. The last Corvette I had looked at was about the same distance. Had it inspected for a $100 at a Corvette specific shop and it was worth it, because we didn't buy the car.

I don't mind the ride. I am not familiar with the area but it is kind of rural, not sure if there are any "Corvette familiar" shops there. I have learned alot in the past week of reading this forum. I am very familiar with cars and with Chevrolet's in particular having raced for the better part of 20 years. 'Vette's are fairly new to me since the wife recently gave me the ok to find one!!!
Welcome! My son used to run microsprints so I've eaten my share of dust and clay chips!
I'd suggest a combination of both the above. See if you can find someone who knows their stuff to look at the car, but you go along also. You will learn a whole lot by standing beside him/her as they look it over and point things out to you.
It's a fun addiction and we all learn sometime. This forum will be a good source for answers when you get a Vette. (You do know pics of the new ride are "required" to stay in everyone's good graces! ). If you can wrench a dirt car you can handle almost anything a Vette can throw at you so it's just a case of learning as you go.
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
