My LT4 had 32k on it when I bought it last year for 14k. It was perfect.
The paint damage on the front would be a ding. If he fixes it maybe it will attract more at that price. The rarity of color combos doesn't really mean much. Either you like the combo or you don't. I don't know if being a CE ups the price. I didn't consider that any more than being silver when I was looking.
Also what are the ages of the tires? They could have great tread but be 9 years old and need replacing.
Funny, I notice the members that are critical of the car and the price don't own one. Just looking at their avatars "garage is empty" .....
Well, I sure wouldn't use the "garage is empty" as meaning they don't own a Corvette.
I don't have any pictures of my car there either.
And I can assure you that I do own one.
RollaMo-LT4:
You haven't been critical, you've only tried to help, your not included in my statement sorry if you got that impression..........my apologies.

First of all... using the "garage" is a stupid way to judge someone's credentials and expertise.
Next, there are quite a few things on that car that take from it's value as have been mentioned already. $15k is a price for a PERFECT (or very very close) '96. This one is not perfect. With that said, if you want it, buy it. Over the course of owning one of these things, few thousand really isn't all that much.

There is no way he could put a price on a one of a kind 96 CE Killer Ghost Croc, with blocks on the pedals, If I Photoshop I could show you what it looks like.I got a PM today from somebody that this car was made for the 5'2" and under.
What "quite a few things on that car that take from it's value" the only thing mentioned is the paint on the nose unless your referring to the non-stock shifter and exhaust. The leather seats are not "stained" as someone mentioned, I had to darken the pictures a bit to bring out details since they came out so bright you couldn't see any detail at all, just bright white, no gray coloring at all.
Also I should have used the term really long time member that PM'd me about the empty garages. They used the term "jealous wannabe's" which I thought was inappropriate for the thread, plus I don't know anyone here and I didn't want to start a bunch of flame throwers on the thread.

Quite a few was the wrong term to use... I will take that back. There are 2 very distinct types of Corvettes IMO. There are the pristine originals, and there are the drivers. The one in the pics is lowered, has the damage on the nose, and it has the the non factory exhaust, and a couple of other mods. I was actually going to say the seats, but if you say it is just the pics I will leave that one out. The rest of the interior looks good.
I am FAR FAR from the type that keeps a car stock and there is absolutely nothing at all wrong with these mods, but when it comes to pricing, it is an unmolested car that is worth more than one with a few bolt-on type of mods. This is made even more true when the car in question gets part of it's value from a "Limited Edition" or "Collector..." perspective.
Like I said in the first post, the difference isn't huge, but from what I have seen recently, you can get a PERFECT LT4 car for that money... and this one just isn't perfect. Not bad at all, but not perfect. Get him to knock a couple thousand off and drive it home.
On a side note... what are the second set of emblems on the side of the hood?

Second set of emblems are LT-4 emblems, came with the car, they're not factory we know but nobody has the nerve to try and take them off for fear of messing up the paint. I think they look sharp but.....

The 1996 Z-15 Collector Edition option came with exclusive Sebring Silver paint, chromed Collector Edition emblems, 17 inch five-spoke aluminum wheels painted silver and black brake calipers with raised bright aluminum Corvette lettering. The Collector Edition interior featured perforated Sport Seats with Collector Edition embroidery and were available in Torch Red, Black or Light Gray Leather. All four tires are Kumho's the rears are about 3-4 years old and the fronts are 2½.
