I thought he was buying it too, until I read this. Looks like he just wanted some positive reinforcement, or thought he'd get more attention here than in the for sale section. Anyway very nice, not perfect but close. The irony is that HIS garage is empty too!

[QUOTE=philibuster;1579544836]! I'm getting some friends together to maybe help him get it smogged and maybe even re-listed with better pics.
I would say anything between 10 and 15k depending on how you value the mods, the low mileage and what you negotiate off the asking price. Personally I think the Corsa and shifter add value. You could start at 15 and go down from there. Not knowing much more about it mechanically and recent service history (anything come up on the test drive, anything electrical not working? ) it's hard to say what you can knock off, but the paint and interior are an obvious place to start the bargaining.. No smog is a red flag imo I would want that done before driving it away. In CA I understand it's considered the seller's responsibility?
What would you be happy paying is the question..
There is no way he could put a price on a one of a kind 96 CE Killer Ghost Croc, with blocks on the pedals, If I Photoshop I could show you what it looks like.I got a PM today from somebody that this car was made for the 5'2" and under.
You got a PM? No, you read that long time ago. Get your fact straight, Im not 5'2", Im 4'7" and I have wooden blocks and the seat all the way to the front. I can photochop, not great but I do 1/10
1st and foremost, if you feel you are buying a car that you think is a good low mileage car at a decent price then BUY IT. Everyone has an opinion, good or bad, right or wrong, it is HIS/HER opinion only. The front clip is an easy fix for a quality bodyshop, not a corner garage type. I think that (this is my opinion) if the car is optioned out well, is in decent condition, has had all of the service work done to date, drives well, looks good, then buy it. I like to buy mechanically sound but need cosmetic work 'Vettes and work my magic on the cleaning and detailing side instead of the mechanical side. If it needs tires and shocks, put them on, drive the car to shows/cruise nights and then sell it. It is what I like to do. My last one I put about 65-70 hours into just the paint alone, no sanding, just claybar and mild compounding, and #26 wax. The engine bay and undercarriage had about 110 hours or more, the interior had about 35 hours. I still talk to the buyers of the cars I sold because they were good solid cars in close to perfect condition --- less a paint job. Buy the car, I don't know these people that are selling the car, but I would buy it. PM the info to me and I'll buy it if you don't.

I that you with JD ? I thought you were younger and you don't look like a Marine, more like a WWII vet.

What is with your obsession over PLRX, and explain this "Croc Crew" to me or just let it go. FYI, I just read your post about how you were watching the drags at ATCO in the 60's, that would make you around 70, pretty close to the guy in the Photo enjoying him some John Denver. Perhaps you should have a hobby that relaxes you a little more, get a Gulfstream trailer and go chill in Florida during the Winter, the change of pace would be nice and there's some great drag racing down there.
To the OP, I did a little looking and that really seems like a fair deal, I can't find one within 100 miles of where I live. The price may be a little high, but is a very clean looking LT4, but I would lose those side emblems, any Corvette guy will know what under the clamshell, you don't need to advertise.

This got me thinking and I do owe you a compliment C4speed. I saw the post you made of yourself at your car at the Toys for Tots;
Wow, for a guy who is in his 70s because he watched the drags at Atco in the 60s, you have really aged well! I should be so lucky. Or is that some one else with your Vette? You're not just playin with us are you
Hey CF is the worst place in the world to try to get an opinion on the price for a C4. Many in here say this car can be had for $8k or $9K, and that is true if the car has north of 130K and needs a few grand in repairs. Interior alone in this car will cost you more than many mechanical repairs. I bought a 67K mile LT4 a few years ago for $12K of course everyone would tell me this was an $8K car however I couldn't find one in decent shape anywhere including out of state. The one I found needed nothing, was the color I was looking for so I bought it and no regrets. No C4 is investment grade, if you like it, can verify that the mileage is legit and look at the frame carefully to make sure it has not had any serious hits I would pull the trigger but try to knock off $1k to cover a good paint job for the bumper. By looking at the pictures interior looks good and body lines look straight.
I'm really looking hard at a 96 LT-4 CE that's for sale locally, 37,800 miles, really clean for a 15 year old cruiser . Seller claims it's one of only 600 or so CE's with the LT-4 motor that has the grey leather interior. Also the paint on the top of the nose / bumper has some spider webbing like cracks in it , not bad but noticeable up close at maybe 3 ft. Also has Corsa exhaust and a Hurst shifter..... Think it's worth $15K ? anybody ?
