Van Steel make a nice kit I plane on using for my C4LS1/T56. Gary from Hardbar designed the adapters. Here a link:

Hope this helps,

i had a set from drm (doug rippie ) .didn't like them at all for the street. great for road-race course but my particular setup had too quick a rebound in the rear and it rode like a buckboard. wanted to throw you forward. yes,it does away with the leaf spring.

I can't really see how they would be "weaker". There is no real difference in the front lower control arms in terms of area for the lower shock mount ant it looks like the steel bracket for the upper mount is the same thickness compared to later C4's.

One difference in the rear is how the upper shock mount is different. The early cars don't have the separate mounting bracket like the 88 and later C4's.

I looked at the VanSteel website showing the QA1 coilover system (p/n CO-DA-C4 System)and it appears that outside of a pair of HardBar special lower mounting brackets, there is no mention of having to do any custom work. I wonder if it's the same for the Bilstein setup?

Maybe he still has them FS

FS - QA1 Coil-Overs "new in box"

These were purchased for a project that I don't believe I'll ever get around to and I need to make some room.

Everything you see here in boxes:

(2) HAL-12-275 275# springs

(4) HAL-SS110SDM Studs for top of all 4 shocks

(2) HAL-DR4855P Shocks

(2) HAL-DR5855P Shocks

(2) HAL-BAR350K T-Bars for front bottom shock mounts

(2) HAL-10-400 400# springs

(1) HAL-T114W spring adjustment tool

I've some additional mounting plates that I believe would make the upper rear install just a bit easier and appear "finished"!

$950 shipped in US - Canada + $35

Good luck
