Marc could install the new spedo gear, or maybe sell you a set, but I recall CCMANO installed an electronic gizmo that hides in the center console that does the trick. Might PM him about it.

Reason: syntax
Why are you going with such a high set up? Unless this car is going to be used only for racing, you may not be happy with it for everyday street use. You will notice significant low end torque which is good, but at the same time your rpm's are going to be very high causing your fuel consumption to be terrible and your top end will be be cut way down. If you do go with this set up, make sure your whole drivetrain is ready for it.

4.10 gears are great match for the 6 speed/LT1. It's not too high a ratio and under normal circumstances you won't lose much mpg. Regardless, if you're considering a gear swap MPG is probably not your first priority. It will be much more fun to drive and thats what counts!
I corrected my speedo via a pcm reflash when I went to 4.11s in the 94. I think that is the best/easiest way to get it to read correctly.

6 speed manual will be ok as you said. I was assuming he had a 4 speed automatic.
