I predict that when the C7 is released, people will buy it.
But as of right now, nobody knows exactly what it will look like or what new features will be available.
Everything you might have seen and/or read about it so far are just rumors.
No, thanks. I didn't settle for my C4, I chose it over the C5 and C6. That was eight years ago and I'm still happy with it.
I'm looking forward to buying my third C4 (hopefully a vert). I hope you're not posting that question here in C4 General to stir the pot....There are a lot of hardcore C4 enthusiasts in here (myself included).
Not new! It's a new generation Vette. Will it have enough new upgrades where we have to wait a few years before they work out the bugs? Maybe maybe not.
1) The C6 stretched my budget even with the $8k off sticker when GM discounted heavily. I don't think it would be wise to spend that kind of coin twice in 10 years- for me personally.
2) I don't want to sell my C4 either.
I'm more comfortable with $20k-ish car purchases. The C7 will be good, but I don't think it will be that good for the first year it is out.
I'm sure someone will, but it won't be me. I'm not interested in delaying my retirement any longer than I have to!
I heard that. If I play my cards right, in 7 years at the ripe age of 55, I can/will give Corporate America the middle finger. and besides......

Exactly. Life is short. Drive the car you want to drive. For what I've spent on the Vettes, the Fieros, the bikes, and the Mach 1, I could have easily been in a nice, if not new, C6. But why? It doesn't really do anything for me. I'd be bored with it in short order.

It went a whole lot better here than it did in C5 Gen!

IF GM is smart they will get the price down. In 04 a LOADED Z06 was like 56K. Now its over 100K, C&D just tested one. In only 8 years the price doubled? WTH?? The Corvette will price itself right out of the market.
In 1971 (from June 71 C&D) the median Corvette buyer was 26.6 years old about half single and most male. Average income in US was 9K, cost of LT1 4 speed in 71 $6742. So a new Corvette is 75% of yearly income.
Today, the median age is EASILY twice that. Average cost of of new comparable Corvette say a Grand Sport is 56K. Average household income in 09 (US) was about 50K, so 112% of yearly income.
I see a problem here....Baby Boomers are not going to live forever and buy them forever. Then again GM is making less and selling at a higher price to compensate for lack of sales. Was NOT the Corvette SUPPOSED to be a sports car for the masses? Best of Luck C7.
Maybe Mustangs with 400+hp will remain somewhat attainable in the mid 30's for a GT. Just saying....
I'm going to go backwards to a C3 (68-73) for an addition to my fleet. C6 or maybe a C7 in the future?. No way. Not my style. Right now they're for spoiled rich kids and old people.
