Need info on ABS sensor wiring
Are there any sources for the wiring for the ABS wheel sensors? My wires are ok but the insulation (Rubber?) has crumbled off.
How much hassle to replace? Our C4 is a one owner 1987 coupe. It's low in miles but not in age so I guess that's what happened to the rubber.

Yes, Searched the non-dealers who handle C4 parts for ABS Wiring. Searched almost all for "how to" in order to answer the 2nd part of my question.

I have the same situation on my '86: wires OK, sleeving got brittle and crumbled. I bought used sensors from a vendor on eBay but the idiot just cut the wires, so I didn't get the connectors. My plan was to rewire them (I "borrowed" some teflon wire from work), but I can't do that without the connectors. I haven't figured out what to use for sleeving yet, so that project is on hold.
I think they went to better sleeving in later years because I have checked with friends and their sleeving is OK. I don't know if later ABS sensors will just plug in without a problem. The Bosch part number is molded into the sensor but that number is also unavailable.
