Default Build Sheet

a friend of mine just received a C4 as a "gift" from his parents. Really well kept '84 with about 80K miles.
from what he is told is that not many Black exterior with Dark Gray interiors were made or ordered for that year.

Would you have information on that?

Is the "Factory Build Sheet" hidden somewhere on the car?

There are no records of individual combinations;only how many black ext
and how many gray int ordered
FWIW ;
Dark Gray was not a '84 option ; only Med Gray (MG ) and Graphite (GR)

There is also usually one inside the front cross member but don't expect to extract it intact
or be able to read it after 25 years

If he really wants he can buy a window sticker and build sheet from the National Corvette Museum.

Log onto the NCM web site and on the left side of the page you will see the build sheet and window sticker link. I have them for my 86. A lot of info and they look cool on display in the garage.

Thanks for all the info...

What is the difference between Med. Gray (MG) and Graphite (GR)?

I would be guessing that GR is darker then MG.

In addition to the build sheet, you can also order a copy of the original window sticker from the National Corvette Museum.

It's in different places for different years. My 88 had it on the upper front of the tank. Open the spare tire holder, look up above it, thats where mine was. It crumbled as I tried to get it out though.

I got my copy from Bowling Green Museum. They printed it whilst waiting and even got a mini laminated one. Felt all fuzzy getting the original build sheet.
