wont start sometimes
When I go to start the car (94 vette w 6 speed) I can feel the starter hit through the clutch and I hear one and only one clicking thud. Nothing else happens. I try it up to 15 times and then the car starts fine. It may continue to work correctly for a week or act up again the next time I try to start it. Vats has been by passed and I can hear the fuel pump working when the car will not start. Can it be anything else but the starter that needs to be replaced?

Constant turning of the key will eventually get a good contact so starter finally operates
