I own and drive a 96 collectors edition. I love the car but do not care for those rectangular exhaust tips. Can they be replaced with round chrome single or double tips? If so can someone direct me on what products are available for the job. Who does it? About how much will it cost me? I live in ct. Thanks for helping me

Well the answer is yes ..... if you read through the forum you will find a half dozen manufacturers of exhaust systems (or just mufflers) that you can replace your stock system with however ……. If you read through several years of posts here ..... you are going to find that the general consensus is that there are only two exhaust systems for your C4 that do not produce headache inducing “drone”. They are the excellent, absolutely beautiful, but not inexpensive stainless steel Corsa system and your stock system.

Best of luck with your 96 its an excellent car

PS I grew up in East Htfd.

And the good news is, those beautiful Corsa's have a double round tip on each side.

There's plenty of aftermarket exhaust systems avaiable to meet you needs. Not enjoy that Collector Edition!

My 1990 Coupe came with a Walker Exhaust system. Sounds cool outside but it has the drone inside that you mentioned. I lined the area behind the seats with one layer of Dynamat and reduced the noise by about half (its still nowhere the noise level of a stock system). When the weather gets warmer, I am adding a second layer. I found that the Dynamat Extreme Door Kit (part number 10435) contains enough material (4 sheets) to cover everthing back there except for a small area around the speaker enclosures. You can pick up one of these kits for about $47 from Amazon. Here is what is looks like with the one kit.

You guys keep saying that the Corsas are the only mufflers that do not drone. I had The Magnaflow SS cat back exhaust on my car with no.. I repeat no drone what so ever. I also had Ansa exhaust on my 86 and there was very little drone.

If you just don't like the looks of the tips just cut them off and have a muffler shop clamp or weld a different style on.
