yes, i use it on my 94 and its very well made. removing the a/c clears up tonsss of room under the hood, and car also runs much cooler with the condensor not blocking the radiator

It's nice but not necessary. Sometimes I wonder if there is a contest on how many useless idler pulleys can be put on an engine.

What would you do to eliminate it?

Not use it and run a shorter belt. There is also the old stock A/C delete that came on cars without A/C. That is around $30.

Check this thread:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c4-t...e-bracket.html

This is the big thread we had awhile back on options:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c4-t...te-pulley.html

I made a thread awhile back on using the A/C brace for the alternator brace:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c4-t...alt-brace.html

It's kind of shame to me to see a performance car add so many idler pulleys. I've seen a few setups with three. It's less cost, less weight, and less things to break, not to use one.

the pulley the OP showed us was for the lt1. with the lt1 you cannot just delete it and run a shorter belt, you must use the delete pulley. your thinking l98 which you can just get rid of it completely
