I modified my rear targa bolts so they just spin when they have been unscrewed enough to remove the top. By filing off a few threads at the center area of the bolts, the threads don't catch on the roof bracket unless you really want to remove the bolt from the roof bracket.

OP. Did you check the center console and the cup holder area? That is where mine normally show up.
