Hello all. My first attempt at posting a photo on this forum. This is my 95 Convertible, my first 'Vette, a 6-speed, which I picked up last summer. It is mint, 25k km and wonderful to drive. I know people are always curious what I paid, in this case $17k. Cheers. JohnnyCanuck
And for the other ex-military (and serving) 'Vette owners, here's the Vet's Vette. 32 years service in the Canadian Army.
Hope the province issued that out of the kindness of its heart. When I moved out here to CA and went in to DMV to register my vehicles I was offered the option of veteran plates. I asked if they were cheaper than regular plates -- you know, a "grateful nation" and all that -- but no, they would cost $10 more.
Actually its not bad in Canada. You pay the Royal Canadian Legion a one-time $5 fee, they give you a letter of authority to order Veteran's plates, and this letter is good in any province, for your lifetime. There is no additional extra charge when you order your plates, but no discount either (at least not in Alberta or BC).
