Speed Sensor Leaking

The transmission on my 4L60 is leaking fluid from the speed sensor. What form of seal or gasket is it thats leaking? O-Ring? I figure alot of you guys who changed you speedo gear to componsate for a rear axle change would know off hand.

hi,you have a o ring on your speed sensor.take off your old sensor and bring it to your auto parts store for a o ring match up.put a pan next to the sensor when you take it off because you might get a little bit of fluid leaking out when you remove your sensor.hope this helps.greg84

When you remove the sensor, can the car be level or would it help to lift the rear?
