I think there might be some conflicting information on this.
I always thought two remotes were supplied also.
But someone (can't remember who) said only one was supplied from the factory, and the second was an available option.
Maybe it depends on the year?
I looked in the owners manual for my '96 and found this:

It's almost a mood point how many they came with. The 94 had one also.
If you want to get one today in EBay, if you can find it, you would be lucky to bid on it and get it for under $95. I have seen them advertised for $150 straight out of the gate. Back in 03 when I got my car the dealer was selling then for $110-120 (but did not buy it at that time).
I paid $75 to about $85 for the first three I bought over the years. And the last one I think I paid $95 and wasn't even looking for one but just bought it because it was there and nobody outbid me.
