I had to go back and reread the post to make sure that was the same car. The before picture made think there is no way that car is ever going to be a good running and looking car again. When I scrolled down and thought the after was your second vette. My hats off to you for undertaking a project like that and FINISHING it. The car looks really good
Original color was the two tone bronze. I dont think I am going that route though. Havent done much to the vette since May. My plan was just to enjoy and drive it this summer.
Couple of weeks ago my a/c compressor started smoking - front seal is blown after I just added $50 of r12 to it. So I need to get that done soon.
Also, two weeks ago I pulled into the local mini-mart to pick up a six-pack and somebody stuck a box knife into my right rear tire and snapped the blade right off. I don't understand people sometimes. I dont have any known enemies too. So I picked up a set of bfgoodrich tires all the way around since they dont make the goodyear's anymore. So if you know anybody looking for a partial set of goodyears (3 tires) let me know. I will make you a good deal.
Looks great!
I am re-doing a 89 Coupe that was under water. Got it gutted to the firewall, and starting to put it back together. I will share pics once I get further along.
your color options are somewhat limited with the bronze interior. the original color combo i think looks decent. the light bronze color upper and lower does look nice as well. black, tan, gold, bronze, silver, and maybe a shade of dark green, polo green perhaps would all be decent matches to the bronze interior.
Dang this is an awsome Vette! I was thinking of doing the same treatment on my gotti/American racing replica rims looks awesome! Did you powdercoat them?
The best part of this car is it wasn't worth much when you started but now it's a awesome car that's worth much more.
good job
