85-89 console plate help

Anybody try to use an automatic console plate on a stick tranny?

They don't make the stick console plate any more, or at least I cant find one.

I'm just flying blind here but could you take the piece out between the auto shifter hole & the gear indicator?

89 is zf6 they are different and you know they come used

In dont mind cutting the indicator slot out, not at all.

Sure, you could cut it out.

You might have to make your own boot, but that shouldn't be too hard to do.

I happen to have a NOS piece but dont know if its actually GM as I cant find any OEM stamp on it. I didnt use it on my 85 because my OD switch is on the console and this plate is set up for the shifter switch. It would probly work good for your Tremec.
