This problem seems to come up weekly... maybe we should make a sticky.
Hatch switch could be bad. A door switch could be bad.
First check the adjustment of the door switches. If you look at each switch, you'll see that the end of the plastic plunger (where it contacts the body) has a small round head. That can get pushed in too much over time, which can cause your problem.
Pry that head outward with a small flat blade screwdriver. That makes the plunger longer so that the switch closes all the way, turning off the lights. Don't worry about prying out too much; the first time you close the door it'll get pushed back in to just the right lenghth.
The "plunger adjustment" is bogus and does nothing useful.
Why do you say that? Sometimes the pin gets pushed in too much and you pull it back out. If that's not the problem then you're right, it won't fix anything. But it's free and it takes all of ten seconds per door, so why not try it before replacing switches that may not even be bad? It's worked for me and others.
