For the second time in 12 years she let me down. Headed to a Memorial Day show and the brakes went south. No leaks but no pedal. Master cylinder me thinks. Day was not a total loss, young man driving the flat bed drooled all over her. At least one person got to see her dressed in her finest.
What really ticked me off was the show was part of a 3 day event honoring veterans hosted by the Valiant Air Command at their facility in Titusville. I got there late and was most impressed, lots of real nice WWII aircraft plus some early jets. Highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.
Twice in twelve years is really a pretty good record. Sounds like you have a good running car, but the timing sucks.
Thought I was going to put mine on a flatbed Friday. Pulled up to my daughters to get my grandson for a movie. When we got back to the car and turned the key, there was nothing not even a click. Never had any kind of issue with starting so I couldn't believe it. The car started later and not any kind of problem since. One of the joys of driving a older vette.

Is it a manual transmission? If so, check the clutch safety start switch mounted on top of the clutch pedal. To check it, you'll need to drop the plastic panel under the dash on the drivers side and disconnect the plug to the switch. If it starts (be sure to push the clutch in first) it could very well be that switch going bad. I just jumpered mine at the plug and decided not to use the switch as the switch is very hard to get at. Now I have to make sure the clutch is pushed or it's in neutral every time I start it.
One time when I got my '86 flatbedded home I opened the garage door with the opener. The driver saw my C5 in the garage and said, "You're not married, are you"?

It is a manual and the safety switch is the first thing that came to mind. Thanks for the tip on the location and jumping it. I knew I'd find it if I got down and started looking but this makes that process easier now. It has started without any issues what so ever these past few d
ays so not sure at this point what to do. Its always great to get help when there is a problem. Thanks
