the breadbox, can i just "hack" it off? i don`t want to pull panel, dashpad an whatever else because it ain`t never going back on. have some plexi and alumn laying around to finish it off.
okaaaay! i got the message. so there are just 4 screws for dash pad? 2 in center and 2 @ defroster vent? and i need a contorsinist to get to the ECM? just want to know if PO put in a chip. got car from dealer. take the pass seat out? holy crap!

Removing it won't get you to the ECM.
Remove the lower footwell panel, slide in on your back and look up. Remove the two 10mm head screws and slide the ECM towards your face.
yaa! got the cotton picking thing out. what is that electric gizmo that was hiding behind breadbox? only prob is i couldn`t get screws back on dashpad over gage cluster. will try whenever i get the bezel off.
I think the dash looks "generic" with just a flat panel in place of the breadbox. Most people can tell something is different from the factory dash when they sit in the passenger seat. Way too big of a flat dash panel in my opinion. Buy hey, it's what the owner likes is all that matters.
