Default Crossfire help

Had a few random issues pop up today on my original 84 crossfire. I just changed the PVC valve and hose and fuel filter. Drive it for a day then filled up with 93 gas. All was well until lunch today and it began running rough upon start up and would cut off several times before you could get it in gear. Once you started down the road it would skip and have loss of power for maybe 100 yards then ran great. Wouldn't have any issues until it was shut off and time to be started again. Anyone have any idea what would cause it to run awful at startup only and great every time else? I first thought I got a bad tank of gas and added some seafoam but it's too repetive. Just on startup and no other time. It runs great and it doesn't matter if it's hot or cold it will cut out and idle low and press the gas and it bogs.

Put a fuel pressure gauge on it.

I definetly plan on doing that. What is a safe range of pressure on the crossfire? I'm also reading sometime the temp sensor can cause crazy things like this. I'm just confused in how it runs great just not when you start it.

This isn't part of your question, but I don't think your crossfire needs 93 octane, unless of course you have modded it or advanced the timing. It's a relatively low compression engine designed to run on regular. Dave

I was wandering
About that. I'll run some 87 next time. Just blows my mind on
How good it runs 1 minute after start up. When I changed the fuel filter, it was nasty and black lookin has came out of it.
