I just installed led tail lights. They worked fne first time out. Now all lights will not blink for turn signals. Hazards work fine. Night lamps are fine so all connections are good. Any thoughts on what can cause this?
Sounds like the turn signal flasher may have died. The hazard lights use a separate flasher so that's why they work.
The stock style flashers depend on an electrical load (resistance) to operate. LED bulbs have very little resistance so LED lights should flash very quickly or possibly not at all. I would swap out the stock flasher for an electronic version.
The turn signal flasher on your car is not too hard to find. It should be on the underside of the drive's side dash on the far left. Look for 3 relays. The flasher should be above them.
I had to do some searching to find your year of car. It really helps if you update your profile to include the year of car and in the case of your '96, the fact it's an LT4/6-speed car.
