Default My first C4

Good morning all, i just bought first Corvette last night. Its a 1995 Coupe with 52000 miles. Just needs some new skins before long and new window seals. I have heard that it tends to run warm at low speeds and also tends to bleed a bit under the hood after sitting for long periods of time. Any other issues that anyone can tell me about would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Congrats on your new Vette.

You will love it. C4's are great cars and generally don't require much more maintenance than any other car of their age. Do the usual fluid changes and other regular maintenance things and hopefully you will enjoy for years to come.

Yes, also was told not to get the spark box wet. Do you wipe clean the best you can?

Congrats, 1995 is a GREAT year for C4

Yes these cars tend to run warmer than many of us were used to prior to owning a C4.

Buy yourself the red two volumd FSM (factory service manual) in the for sale section or on fleebay generally $75 - $90. Get the ones with the red cover not the white cover.

These cars like to be driven every day. The more you drive it the better the car will run.

Congrats, I just bought my first Corvette a couple of weeks ago, also. Mine is a '94 with 58k miles. So far, I'm just enjoying the drive a ton. I put four new tires on it and it feels like a new car, as well. Enjoy your car!

Now I just need to get all of that loose change out of the center console where it fell behind the "cup holders." I've been fishing it out little by little with a long skinny needle-nose pliers. Any other way short of taking the console apart? That doesn't seem like an easy option.
