Updated Opti
I took my 1994 base coupe to have the transmission serviced recently. On the way down to the shop, a coolant hose sprung a leak. I was able to make it to the shop without overheating. When I popped the hood, the whole engine bay was soaked in coolant. I was sure the opti would need replacing. The coolant hoses were replaced and engine was dryed and still runs well. The mechanic told me there was a newer vaccum line vented type opti installed, so that probably saved it from being destroyed as 1994 was the last year of the original designed opti. I was surprised and very relieved. I'm glad the previous owner knew what he was doing!
