Dash camera ?
Is Go Pro the only dash cam or are their others that do the job just as well, but cost less?
I've wanted to get some video of the Hot Rod Power Tour, Funfest and Drag strip etc

There are few out there in the market. The GoPro hero and GoPro Hero 2 are the most common ones. The Replay XD is smaller and I may buy that one.
The GoPro is a good camera, but if mounted outside even with the waterproof lid you can hear the wind and road noise.

I use an Aiptek GVS from Amazon, it was under $100 shipped. I fabricated a mount for the harness bar. Nice for the cost! Here's a sample:

The human eye/brain typically only handles about 24-27 frames a second (any faster and we can't see the difference).
